About the cause

We’re fighting the single biggest killer of Australians – heart disease.

For over 58 years the Heart Foundation has led the battle to save lives and improve the heart health of all Australians. Our sights are set on a world where people don’t suffer or die prematurely because of heart disease.

Where does the money go?

Every dollar you raise will make a difference to people’s lives.

Our work includes funding world-class cardiovascular research, guiding health professionals, educating Australians of all ages and walks of life to make healthy choices, and supporting people living with heart conditions.

Thanks to generous Australians we’ve made incredible progress – such as the development of the artificial pacemaker, which has given thousands of Australians the chance to enjoy a better lifestyle.

But there is still so much to do, and so many people still need help.

Every donation, no matter what the amount, gets us closer to the next lifesaving breakthrough.
